Based in Glasgow, Tom Marhsallsay's distinct sound pulls influence from across the board in the form of post rock and experimental folk, tied together with ambient and garage beats. Releases include 'Purple Arrow EP' (2010), 'Grey EP' (2010) and 'We EP' (2011)

As well as playing live, DAM MANTLE will be presenting lie visuals on the night through a video synthesizer, making it one not to be missed!

Unimaginable Wealth: Part 2

This project takes the form of an epic feature length narrative film, and accompanying novella. The narrative is based on a series of 411 email scams, the cinematography was created by ripping videos from YouTube, the voiceovers have been compiled using free trial versions of text-to-speech software, and the soundtrack was created using basic MIDI components and free downloadable SFX. Using the emails and their detailed characters as raw information The Creative Services of Hugo De Verteuil and Ian Rothwell have composed an interweaving and epic narrative arc which exists within the traditional stereotypes of Hollywood. The artists use the formal language of Web 2.0 – video-sharing, file-sharing, social-networking and fragmented online personalities - to create something that could be seen as an emblematic product of this culture.
